Does Penis Size Affect Sexual Satisfaction?

Women and Sexual Satisfaction

Russell Eisenman’s study of women’s perceptions of sexual satisfaction took into account the size and width of the penis. Fifty sexually active women between the ages of 18 and 25 were asked, “During sex, does the penis feel better, the length or width of the penis?” Questions such as love, physical attractiveness or romantic feelings were not considered. The survey revealed:

  • Most of the 50 women said width was more important than length.
  • Only 5 women said the length felt better than the width. In fact, a long penis can cause discomfort.
  • Neither woman said height and width were equally important.
  • None of the women said they didn’t know.

How does puberty affect penis size?

In fact, puberty is the second time in your life that your penis has crossed the growth spine. In the first year of life, the length and girth of the penis increase significantly. This is followed by slow, steady growth until puberty. During puberty, the penis and testicles grow faster.

The puberty schedule is different for each person. The age of puberty also starts differently. It can start as early as age 9 or 10 or later at age 13 or 14.

Also, during puberty, you get taller and broader. Your muscle mass increases and your voice deepens. You also begin to grow hair around your genitals, under your arms, on your chest, and on your face.

Width and length

There are a number of reasons why women’s penis width could be described as more sexually satisfying. First, the width of the penis at the base can be more stimulating to the clitoris. Researchers also claim that a wide penis gives a woman “greater fullness” and is therefore more physically and psychologically satisfying.

Male fear about size

Men tend to misjudge the size of their penis as it is viewed from above. Research shows that many men believe their penis is smaller than normal when in fact they have a normal sized penis.
